If I ever needed a reason to justify my clothes-hoarding, it would be these jeans. It’s so satisfying to hold on to an item of clothing for multiple years (5 to be exact) only for it to come right back into style. I had been wanting to jump on the flared jeans bandwagon for quite some time but couldn’t find the perfect pair for my body type, until I remembered I still had these babies. I wore these TO DEATH in high school (hence the manholes on the left leg) and I’m so excited for them to get their second life.
I think this outfit could be perfectly described in one superstitious (and slightly irrelevant) phrase, “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” The jeans would be my old… I got them senior year of high school! Something new would be my Michael Kors platformed sandals. I spotted them on the clearance rack at Dillard’s a few days ago and had to take them home. I (permanently) borrowed this macrame purse from my mom… sorry, Mom! And finally, my something blue would be this pretty little tie dye top from On The Beach.
Alright so these aren’t really bell bottoms, but I just can’t resist a good play on words. I also can’t resist some good ole Eric Clapton…so it just worked out! ;) I was really feeling some 70’s vibes while wearing this outfit the other day, which I definitely didn’t mind. It’s probably my favorite decade as far as fashion goes! As always, thank you for visiting my blog and reading along!
