Hi friends! Today I wanted to show you two different ways I make a barely-there crop top a bit more wearable. I personally love crop tops in the summertime! They make this South Texas heat so much more bearable. The most obvious way to wear a crop top is with a high-waisted bottom, which makes it completely wearable and not too revealing. If I’m not hitting up the beach or sitting pool side, sometimes wearing a more revealing crop top in public makes me feel somewhat inappropriate. Which is what brings me to these two different outfits! I picked up this crocheted bralette from On The Beach the other day and have been dying to wear it.

IMG_0120For a lunch date with Fonz at a local cafe, Antigua Bakery & Cafe, I decided to pair the bralette with my go-to denim button down and white shorts. I left the shirt unbuttoned so you could actually see the detail of the bralette. I also wore my strappy orange sandals (which I unfortunately got like a year ago so I can’t link the exact ones) to match the bralette, but I think any strappy pair would work! …Not to mention, I feel like this would be a perfectly subtle outfit for Fourth of July!

Shirt – Chelsea & Violet Light Roll-Tab Sleeve Chambray Blouse, $88

Shorts – Levi’s 501 Shorts in Vintage White, $41

Sandals – similar here, $20

Bralette – Barely There Crochet Bralette Top by Billabong, $34.95 (I swear I didn’t even know it was called the Barely There crop top!)

IMG_0263This one is a littttttle more risqué, but it’s perfect if you’re gonna be out and about in the sun – like on this occasion! Fonz and I stopped by Grimsell’s Garden Center to pick up some succulents to add to my little collection. I used to go to Grimsell’s so much when I was younger and I had completely forgotten about it until a friend recommended I check it out the other day! I decided to go old school and pair the bralette with my new, favorite overalls. I’ve been super picky on my hunt for overalls for fear that I’d look like a hillbilly or the newest addition to American Gothic, but I seriously love these!

Overalls – Billabong Not Really Over it Overalls, $70

Bralette – Barely There Crochet Bralette Top by Billabong, $34.95

Sandals – similar here, $20

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today’s somewhat different post! If you have any opinions, I’d love to hear them in the comments below! :)

Yours Truly,

Shelby
