Have you ever seen Dazed and Confused? It’s one of my all time favorite movies! The clothes are killer and I can listen to the soundtrack all day. One of my favorite outfits of the movie is the scene where the senior girls are wearing football-ish crop tops, denim cut-offs and sneakers (check it out here). Now I’m not about to go all Halloween and wear a costume in May, but sometimes it’s fun to dress in themes, right? That scene was kinda my inspiration for this. It’s a super casual outfit and easy to throw together. I mentioned in this post that I loved white on white and I guess I wasn’t kidding! I also mentioned awhile back in this post that I was getting the Nike Air Pegasus ’83 sneakers and I have been wearing them nonstop ever since! They are soooo comfy and add a cool, old school touch to outfits. One of the girls in the movie, Simone to be exact, is actually wearing Nikes that look pretty similar! Disclaimer: the wind was CRAZY on this particular day, so excuse my hair. I really couldn’t be bothered with doing it in the first place and I’m glad I didn’t because I ended up looking like a hot mess haha.
Dressing up is always fun, but to be honest, I’m much more laid-back in my day to day life. Sometimes I’d much rather just slip on my tennis shoes than strap on some heels. But by investing in tennis shoes that are kinda cool, at least to you, it can make laid-back days even more fun to dress for. Hope you enjoyed today’s post and thanks for stopping by! :)
